Welcome CCAP Cafe au Lait

First of all, I feel like I haven't been blogging on our farm blog as much as I would like to. We have just been really busy this summer and I am keeping a baby/pregnancy blog as well, which is sucking a lot of my time and creative juices. Between the two blogs, this will already be my 156th entry for the year and we are only half way through! So anyway, we added a new face to our farm this week. Her name is CCAP Cafe au Lait, better known as Cafe....or Bangle as Noah likes to call her because of a white fiber bracelet around one of her ankles. So far she is doing great on our farm and fitting right in with the rest of the herd. I borrowed the pictures from our friends at Oak Haven Alpacas (and some other farms including Magical and CCAPS) because I have not had time to get out and take pictures of her yet. Maybe this weekend. Because I don't have a whole lot of time to write today, I am just going to copy and post her page from Alpaca Nation.

Cafe is the daughter of Magical Farms elite fleeced macho herdsire Peruvian Abundance, son of Snowmass Millennium. Cafe's banner winning sire has an "abundance" of everything! He displays ELITE fleece characteristics with outstanding fleece length, exquisite bundling, outstanding fineness, advanced crimp and density, as well as a superior macho head. With excellent conformation and coverage from head to toe on a solid, robust frame, he is a phenotypically flawless herdsire. Abundance is the unique blending of Accoyo Legacy and Peruvian Hemingway lines. Pictured below is her sire Abundance:
Cafe's dam is a wonderful production female herself. Her sire is MFI Peruvian Donovan and grand sire is Accoyo Peruvian Augusto, bloodlines noted for their dense, elite fleeces. In 2007, she produced Cafe's full brother CCaptain. He has fineness, wonderful coverage, stellar conformation, powerhouse genetics, awesome crimp and density, and of course cuteness. Pictured below is her brother CCaptain.

Cafe has some amazing alpacas in her ancestry. She is soft, with fine buttery fleece. Cafe is also 1/4 Accoyo. Pictured below is Cafe's 2010 fiber.

Cafe is bred to a full Peruvian fawn male Georgio for a spring 2011 cria. He has big names in his background including Northcoast El Accoyo Asante,PPPeruvian Royal Fawn, 4Peruvian Legacy, and 6Peruvian Conan. We can't wait to see what they produce! Georgio is pictured below.
